Founded in 1989
Mr. Théo Gosselin founded the company in 1989 whose sole activity was initially the sale of tires. Self-taught and determined businessman, he succeeds in developing his business successfully thanks to his passion for a job well done. At times in its history, the company relies on the involvement of the Gosselin family. The small business quickly took off and added tire installation the following year. Then, from 3 working bays, it grew to 7 in the space of a few years, until it became the largest tire retailer in Laval and the surrounding area. The vast inventory, the quality of the products and above all the quality of the services allow it to establish itself this place of choice on the market.
New succession, new concepts
André Gosselin, owner for 10 years, joined forces in 2010 with Eric Lafrance, a key employee of the company for more than 8 years. This succession breathes new life into the company, which now occupies a new building located at the current address, at 1500 boul. Saint-Elzéar O. The associates then add an additional service: automobile mechanics. The company changes its name to Théo Gosselin Pneus | Mechanical and stands out as the largest mechanical workshop in Laval.
Fiber boxes division
In 2013, Théo Gosselin Pneus | Mécanique integrates a new fiber box division to offer tailor-made service units adapted to commercial demand.
Major acquisitions and expansion
In 2014, the acquisition of the J. Bastien auto mechanic garage allowed the development of a team of automotive mechanics technicians, supervised by Charles Dubreuil, a seasoned expert and passionate about a job well done.
The company then joined the premium auto parts banner, Napa AUTOPRO. In order to deploy its dedicated business services, Théo Gosselin Pneus | Mécanique adds a Discount Rental Center.
Continuing its momentum and expansion, the company became a member of the Ici Pneu group, a banner founded by the Touchette group, in 2017. More than ever, it has access to an infinite inventory of tires, for even more choices and more services. .
Lafrance family: Second generation
Since 2017, Eric Lafrance, visionary owner, has surrounded himself with his kids and his partner to continue the development of the company.
